In devastating news for Manchester United fans, it seems that one of their top midfielders is likely to leave this summer. Get the emotional tributes ready as soon as possible because there are reports in Turkey that Marouane Fellaini has agreed a contract with Besiktas. Don’t all cry at once. Oh, and Paul Pogba is also off. The Frenchman will join Real Madrid for £120m after deciding that José Mourinho ain’t worth it. United will console themselves by signing Mauro Icardi from Internazionale.

John Terry, who had a stint as Chelsea’s caretaker manager under the pseudonym of “Avram Grant” during the 2007-08 season, fancies heading back to west London to begin his coaching career when his one-year deal with Aston Villa expires at the end of the season. It turns out that the former England captain has designs on managing Chelsea one day. Maybe sooner than you think. Watch out, Antonio!

Monchi, Roma’s transfer chief, has admitted that the Italian club sold Mo Salah to Liverpool on the cheap. With that in mind, then, Roma hope that putting a huge price tag on Allison will deter Liverpool from signing the Brazilian goalkeeper this summer. No fooling them twice!

Excitement strikes! Alex McLeish is about to be named as Scotland’s new manager. That must mean England will appoint Steve McLaren soon. Or better yet, Sven.

Malcolm, who ended up staying at Bordeaux in January, plans to leave the French club this summer. But Tottenham might have a free run at the Brazilian as it seems that Arsenal have switched their attention to Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembélé. Arsenal are also keeping tabs on Luke Shaw, who is yet to agree a contract extension with United, but may face competition for the left-back from Chelsea, who are also eyeing Watford’s Richarlison.

Eden Hazard’s brother, Thorgan, won’t be starring for Borussia Monchengladbach for much longer if Leicester City have their way. Leicester are desperate to add the Belgian to their midfield.

And finally, Joe Hart will quit Manchester City and move abroad in the summer. Maybe not to Torino, though.

Lanzini brings tremendous news

Manu Lanzini reckons he’s ready to return and says he will be with the team again next week.

The brilliant playmaker has told the official website he’s on his way back and could be set for the Liverpool trip as his injury issues improve.

Various forecasts that he will be back for Anfield or Swansea the latest have been circulating now for a week or more with Adrian the last to claim he will be returning.

Now the man himself has confirmed all of that by declaring: “My injury is getting better every day and I expect to be back very soon.

“I’m training hard and I expect to go back with the team next week.”

And he added: “It’s great that Marko is back now. He is a very good player and we need him.

“I’m also looking forward to playing with Joao Mario. He is an important player and together we have good qualities.”

West Ham have been given permission to discuss a transfer with Hamburg winger Nicolai Muller, according to a report in German newspaper Bild.

The Germany international has won two caps for the national team and is set to leave Hamburg on a free transfer in the summer when his contract expires.

Both the Hammers and Southampton have been credited with an interest in the winger, who has played just 15 minutes in the Bundesliga this season, though he did score in that time.

Ironically, Muller has been sidelined for seven months with a serious ligament injury suffered celebrating a goal.

A goalscoring winger, West Ham have reportedly opened talks with Muller over a deal ahead of the summer as they look to bolster their attacking options.

Over the past two seasons, Muller has been involved in 25 goals in the Bundesliga.

Hamburg are currently second-bottom in the Bundesliga, only four points ahead of bottom-placed Cologne

Tottenham and West Ham on alert as Barcelona plan to sell Andre Gomes in the summer

Tottenham and West Ham have been placed on red alert by the news Barcelona want to sell Andre Gomes this summer.

The midfielder moved to the Nou Camp in 2016 from Valencia and big things were expected of him.

However the Portugal international has failed to sparkle for Barca and has been linked with a move away for the best part of a year.

Tottenham tried to strike a loan deal for Gomes last summer, while West Ham made an enquiry in January.

And now both clubs will be on red alert as, according to AS, Barcelona are finally ready to sell the 24-year-old this summer.

The Spanish giants are reportedly ready to cash in on Gomes so they can use the funds to bolster other areas of the squad.

Inter To Sacrifice Kondogbia, Joao Mario & Brozovic To Keep Rafinha

Three sales to keep one. This is the strategy of Inter, which according to TuttoSport, would include the sales of Geoffrey Kondogbia, Joao Mario and Marcelo Brozovic in order to keep Rafinha. Two are no longer part of the squad, but they’re away on loans with options to buy and could return to Milan before being sold outright.

The French midfielder went to Valencia in the Summer with an option to buy of 25 million euros which needs to be exercised before May 31st. Over the season, he’s put in some exceptional performances and Valencia seem to be convinced and will mostly likely trigger their option. Combined with the fact that Kondogbia himself is said to be enjoying life back in Spain, it’s likely to all go through. The Nerazzurri will be disappointed that could not get a higher price, but initial loan payment of around 6 million, plus the savings on his salary, of 7 million per year (contract renewed before his departure to 2021), helped the 2017-18 balance sheet a lot and so in total, Inter are not losing too much.

Joao Mario went to West Ham also on loan without a obligation fee. Inter paid 40 million euros for him two Summers ago and will hope that he does well enough in England to at least get a minimum offer of 30 million euros, or more if he performs at the World Cup with Portugal, similarly to when he won the EUROs in 2016.

Finally, the Croatian, Brozovic has a release clause of 50 million euros, which is widely considered an unthinkable sum for anyone to pay for a player of his standard. However the Nerazzurri would also be willing to let him go, if he attracts enough interest in the World Cup to raise the price a little. Inter could settle for 20 million euros, depending hon his performances in Russia, combined with savings in budget of around 3 million for his salary.

In order to keep Rafinha, Inter will need 35 million euros (plus 3 million in bonuses) to trigger their right to redeem clause.
